Fatalities Among
the British Army, the Royal Irish Constabulary, and
Associated Organizations in the Easter
Rising 1916.
When the Republican attack began the British troops in Ireland contained many native born, Irish, individuals. The Royal Irish Constabulary (RIC) was even more Irish. Some units in Ireland had experienced combat in France in the World War I and were well equipped. They outnumbered the Republicans, according to some sources by over ten to one, had access to artillery, and naval guns. They fought well with obvious bravery.
Comments and questions are welcome.
