Fatalities Among Civilians in the Irish Civil War
As is true in any war, numerous civilians were killed in the Irish Civil War. They were civilians who were killed because they favored one side or the other or refused to help the side they did not support. Many were killed simply in reprisal for the death of a combatant although they had nothing to do with the death except, perhaps, favoring on side over the one seeking reprisal. Some were intentionally killed for no obvious reason and others accidentally killed.
